Whether you’re fueling up post-yoga or winding down with something savory, a slice of loaded toast is one of the quickest ways to make something nourishing and satisfying.

Our Favorite Gourmet Protein Toasts
Here are four toast combos we love—each with plant-based protein, healthy fats, and a serious flavor payoff.
Berry Breakfast Toast
Our current fave, protein-packed start to your morning.
Ingredients:

1 slice bread of your choice

1/4 cup cottage cheese (choose cultured versions for gut health)

1/4 cup fresh blueberries

1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds (walnuts also great)

Drizzle of olive oil + sea salt and pepper.
Instructions:
Top toasted bread with cottage cheese, blueberries, and sesame seeds or nuts. Add a drizzle of olive oil, and salt & pepper to taste.
Mediterranean Toast
Savory, herby, and full of flavor.
Ingredients:

1 slice bread of your choice

1/4 cup plain hummus

1 tablespoon crumbled feta

Sliced cucumber + tomato

Fresh parsley or mint

Olive oil + sea salt
Instructions:
Spread hummus on the toasted bread. Layer with sliced cucumbers and tomatoes, then sprinkle with feta, fresh herbs, and a drizzle of olive oil and sea salt.
Supercharged Avocado Toast
This one’s a powerhouse—loaded with protein, fiber, and gut-friendly ingredients.
Ingredients:

1/2 avocado, sliced or mashed

2 scrambled eggs (or skip for a vegan version)

2 tablespoons sauerkraut

Salt + pepper

Toasted pepitas
Instructions:
Layer avocado on your toast and gently mash with a fork. Add scrambled eggs, season with salt and pepper, then top with sauerkraut and pepitas.
Peanut Butter Power Toast
A classic with a nutrient-dense twist.
Ingredients:

1–2 tablespoons peanut butter

Instructions:
