A Cozy Holiday Appetizer For Every Table

The holidays call for snacks that feel special but don’t ask much of you. This creamy cannellini bean dip is exactly that—bright with lemon, rich with olive oil, and quietly impressive on any holiday table. It’s the kind of recipe you can make ahead, pull out when guests arrive, and feel good about sharing.

Simple ingredients, a few minutes in the food processor, and you’re done. Serve it with crisp veggies, warm pita, or whatever you’re reaching for while catching up with friends in the kitchen.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups cannellini beans, drained and rinsed

  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

  • 1 small garlic clove

  • 1 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

  • Freshly ground black pepper

  • 2 to 4 tablespoons water, if needed

Fresh herbs:

  • 2 tablespoons torn fresh basil leaves

  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh rosemary

Instructions

Add the cannellini beans, olive oil, lemon juice and zest, garlic, salt, and a few good turns of black pepper to a food processor. Pulse until everything comes together.

If the dip feels too thick, add water a tablespoon at a time with the processor running, blending until smooth and creamy. Finish by blending in the basil and/or rosemary.

Spoon into a bowl, drizzle with a little olive oil if you’d like, and serve with veggies or pita. Easy, healthy, and just right for the season!
