Energizing Chocolate + Cherry Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond milk (or your preferred milk alternative; see note)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted cashews or 2 tablespoons cashew butter
  • 1 tablespoon flaxseed
  • 1/2 cup packed spinach
  • 1 heaping tablespoon cacao powder (or cocoa powder)
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder (we use K’achava, but any will work)
  • 10 to 15 frozen cherries
  • 1/2 to 1 frozen banana

Optional Toppings:

  • Cacao nibs
  • Granola
  • Hemp hearts

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Adjust the consistency by adding more almond milk if needed.
  2. Pour into a glass or bowl. Add optional toppings like cacao nibs, granola, or hemp hearts for extra texture and flavor.
  3. Serve immediately with a straw or spoon and enjoy!

Makes 1 generous or 2 smaller servings.


Pro Tip:

If you like a thicker, creamier smoothie, start with less almond milk and add it gradually until you reach your desired consistency. For an extra protein boost, double the scoop of protein powder.
