Our classic hummus recipe! We love dipping crunchy vegetables into it, spreading it onto crackers or a crusty bread, dolloping it on top of of a Buddah bowl or using it as a side with a lunch time salad.
Ingredients
- 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 2 tablespoons tahini
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (add more to taste, if needed)
- 2 garlic cloves
- 3/4 teaspoon sea salt (adjust to taste)
- 2 ice cubes
Instructions
To make the humus: Add chickpeas to a food processor and pulse for 2-3 minutes, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed. The texture will be dry - that's okay. Add the tahini, lemon juice, garlic and sea salt. Blend for about 3 minutes. Add the ice cubes and continue blending for 3 more minutes , until the hummus is smooth. Taste and add additional tahini, lemon juice, or salt if needed.
